Re my cloned barclaycard - the lad in the local restaurant swiped it on two separate machines...?

Contact the Pub manager and ask if this is the way they process all card payments. If they tell you that it is not correct then contact the police and go down to your local bank branch to inform them of what has happened. You should find that the staff in your branch will understand better than any call centre.
